Many thanks to Shirley and Jim Harvey for handling the
production of this newsletter so well for the past eight years but, more
importantly, I want to thank them for passing on their knowledge to Ed and I
and volunteering to help us over the inevitable hurdles we will face in taking
on this awesome responsibility.

A Note From The Treasurer…
To speed up check in at the luncheon, it would help if each member
would pay by check. It will make
accounting easier and eliminate the need to bring an unknown amount of
change. Please have your check already
written prior to coming to the luncheon.
Of course, cash is always welcome, but please try to have the $16.00 correct
change.
- Carol Greenleaf - Treasurer

We know that this news is a little old but many people suffer from post-holiday letdown this time of year so we figure if you’re feeling a little blue this mid-winter month, you can just turn to this newsletter, open it up and feel all warm and fuzzy. 2004 was a great year for our party, wasn’t it?

January 10, 1878 – US Senator Aaron Sargent (R-California)
introduces Susan B. Anthony Amendment for Women’s Suffrage; Democrat controlled
Senate defeated it four times before election of Republican House and Senate
guaranteed its approval in 1919.
Who has a rich legacy of providing opportunities to all
Americans? The Republican Party, that’s who!
